Marcelo Ventura Reimagines The Concept of Pop Culture Characters in Dark-Style Illustrations

Many self-taught artists have no formal education but have extraordinary skills, talents, creative ideas, and artworks. One of them is like this artist, starting from a hobby and happy drawing, Marcelo Ventura, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

With a dark and unique style, he takes fun to revisit a lot of universe from the 80s and 90s through the cinema, the TV or video-games, and most of all, he makes them meet in incredible ways. And that’s clearly what I love about him over here: his dark, sinister, and comic-book style that he puts in all his creations.
